Expectations:

Students are required to complete all assignments given.

Students will submit their assignments through email or text every Friday for the week.

If students do not have access to email or text, they must deliver their packet of assignments by Friday, May 8 to the school.

 

How to communicate with the teacher:

Students may text or email any time they have a question concerning their work.

I will attempt to contact each student weekly through the same media.

 

 

Assignments

 

Students will keep a daily journal relating how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected their lives. Students should have a minimum of 3 journal entries per week.

Submit your work by taking a picture of your writings and sending it through text or email.

Assignments:

Choose from the following life skills to complete each week from now to the end of the school year. Picture or video evidence must be submitted each Friday in order to receive credit for your work. If pictures or videos are not available, parents may sign off on the assignments as proof of completion. Each student must complete a minimum of 2 skills per week. Grades may be raised by completing 3 skills per week.

 

Cooking supper or lunch for the family

Using the microwave

Washing a car

Vacuuming the house

Cleaning your room including making up your bed

Doing the dishes

Loading/unloading dishwasher

Doing laundry

Taking out the trash

Recycle aluminum cans and/or plastic containers

Mowing the grass

Weed eating/trimming the lawn

Planting and caring for a garden

Planting and caring for a flower bed

Pumping gas at a gas station (use care and distance in taking picture or video)

Shopping for groceries

Feeding/caring for a pet

Babysitting a younger sibling

Baking cookies for a neighbor or an elderly person

Cutting and weed eating a lawn for an elderly person

Painting a house   

Catching and cleaning a fish

Organizing the cupboard by placing items in alphabetical order
